International Council of Voluntary Agencies
GOAL is a member of the ICVA, a global network of NGOs whose mission is to make humanitarian action more principled and effective by working collectively and independently to influence policy and practice.
Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard
GOAL meets PCI compliance. The PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is an information security standard designed to reduce payment card fraud by increasing security controls around cardholder data.

GOAL USA has earned a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator.
UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) is the basis of GOAL's work involving children. It is the most complete statement of children's rights ever produced and the most widely ratified international human rights treaty in history.
Global Climate Compact
GOAL USA is an official pledge signatory of the InterAction Global Climate Compact. The Compact fosters large-scale change across our sector and recognizes that the environment is central to achieving our mission to serve the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people.
Dóchas Code of Conduct on Images & Messaging and Code of Conduct on Safeguarding
GOAL is committed to choosing images and messages that represent the full complexity of the situations in which we work and seeking the permission of the people whose photos we use. GOAL is also a signatory to the Dóchas Code of Conduct on Safeguarding, confirming our commitment to lead a culture of safeguarding in the humanitarian and development sector.
Cyber Essentials
GOAL received Cyber Essentials certification in 2022, demonstrating GOAL's commitment to cyber security and guarding against the most common cyber threats. In addition GOAL's Technical Advisory Board provided strong.
Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency for 2024
GOAL was awarded the Platinum Seal of Transparency for achieving the highest standards of transparency and accountability.

GOAL's humanitarian work is guided by the Sphere standards, a set of principles and minimum humanitarian standards for humanitarian response.

GOAL's work was guided by the Six Core Principles regarding protection from sexual exploitation and abuse.
Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) on Quality and Accountability
In 2023, GOAL undertook a self-assessment against the Core Humanitarian Standards which included document review, a survey of staff, focus groups and interviews with partners in the field. In early 2024, GOAL received a CHS Certificate of Compliance following a review by the Humanitarian Quality Assurance Initiative (HQAI).
Triple Lock
As a Triple Lock charity, GOAL met the required standards of transparent reporting, ethical fundraising and good governance.
