Overview of the roleGOAL Ireland is currently recruiting an IT Solutions Developer to support the IT Solutions team. The purpose of this role is to meet GOAL’s business needs through the development and maintenance of bespoke, low-code solutions. Using Microsoft Power Platform in conjunction with cloud-based data structures, the Developer will work closely with IT and extra-departmental stakeholders to understand and support a variety of business functions.;

Responsibilities;

Solution Development:

  • Use Microsoft Power Platform & Dataverse to build low-code solutions, enabling business optimisation throughout GOAL.
  • Support GOAL’s move to cloud-based data management through the creation of data structures using SharePoint Lists and Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Help to upgrade and integrate GOAL’s Procurement and Funding platforms with Sage, GOAL’s Enterprise Resource Planning software.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop intuitive user interfaces and meet business needs.

Solution Management:

  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of existing GOAL solutions.
  • Help to develop and promote best-practices for citizen developers using Power Platform in GOAL’s country teams.
  • Support the documentation of new and existing IT Solutions.

Requirements

Technical Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Experience building solutions using the following technologies:;Dynamics 365, Power Automate, SharePoint Lists, Dataverse
  • A qualification (or equivalent experience) in Data Science, Software Development, or a similar field
  • 2-4 years post-graduate work experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of industry recognised methodologies for Project Management, AGILE development and Change Management (e.g. ADKAR, SCRUM, Prince II, PMP).
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or C#
  • Experience with Power Apps
  • Previous experience in the non-profit sector.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Sage
